Ross Mill

Ross Mill is a regeneration project providing 165 affordable homes and a new shop. The project involved the retention and conversion of a 19th century flax mill and the construction of new terraced houses and apartments. Two new streets connect into the site, creating a new urban block, while courtyard parking within the blocks is decked over at first floor level providing shared space for residents’ use. The restoration of the mill and its landmark chimney played a key part in securing public support for the proposals.
