Portsmouth Tourist Information
Providing additional accommodation, disabled access and improved visitor flow, the zinc-clad extension is a careful insertion between the grade I listed historic wall and the 19th century cottage that houses the existing tourist information office. The roof structure is entirely independent of the historic wall and the meeting point of new and old is articulated by a continuous strip of glazing, which introduces natural light above the workspace in the reception hall.
