Make Me a Home

An ideas competition for new ideas in family housing, our proposal was based on a standard plot size of 8 by 20 metres. A variety of different house types were developed based using the party-wall principle, which were then combined to produce varied and interesting streetscapes, based on a straightforward combination of familiar urban components: the avenue; the street; the lane; the yard; the square. In one option, two 3-bed family houses are combined on a single plot, each with a parking space, sensible room sizes and a garden or generous roof terrace.
